SELF MASTERY COMMUNITY

Self Mastery Men’s Group

The Self Mastery Men’s Group is an unusual kind of men’s group led by Moritz Kerkmann Hood.
Unusual because it isn’t centered around discipline or alpha dominance, which male self-development often tries to impose externally. Instead, we focus on a deeper connection to and understanding of the inner feminine energy.
Feminine energy (not female energy) is what’s often deemed distracting, destabilizing, chaotic.
It is one’s feelings and subtle experiences. Men have the opportunity here to be in a very well-held, approving space where we practice opening up with one another. This is leading the men in this group to form deep connection and friendships while relearning that an open heart is truly the greatest strength a man can have.
This leads men in this practice to have greater understanding and sight on how they can relate and be of better service to the women and children in their life. Dominance, discipline, and effort fall away to make space for true alignment and action that’s intrinsically motivated by insight and a genuine, joyful sense of purpose.
This is not a classic sharing circle but a space where you are mentored and guided to develop skills of presence, insight, and inner and relational mastery.

For those interested, please get in touch for a personal connection chat where you and I determine if this space is a good match for you.

Sobriety Mastery

Sobriety in this group is not about a specific substance or drug. We define sobriety and recovery as an inner state where we are free from a three-part disease that affects body, mind, and spirit.
It causes us to end up in codependent situations with our loved ones, to doomscroll, to over- or undereat, to become workaholics, or to underearn. Sobriety is the practice of deep inner mastery and balance of energy, and in this space anyone is welcome who desires to work on this inner balance.

When?
This call is FREE and can be accessed via a free membership signup.
Every two weeks on Wednesday, 10:30 am PST
Only a free membership is required.

Muse: Art, Creativity, and Vision

Many of us have realized that hustle, effort, and grind aren’t working anymore. Many have come to realize this through getting injured or sick. But purpose in the form of having a vision that carries its own energy, a vision where it’s not you being the doer but you receiving and stewarding an energy that is coming through. We all have to return to being artists and creatives. Not just in the paint-and-brush kind of way, but in the broader sense of being able to rekindle a relationship to a vision, pick YOUR art up where it is, and create a space and practice with it. Here we end perfectionism and replace it with practicing the value of the journey instead of clinging to the outcomes. This is Muse. It reconnects you to the creative purpose that’s indigenous to your own heart, body, and mind.

When?

Once a month on Wednesday, 10:30 am PST

About the Facilitator Moritz Kerkmann Hood

Moritz sobered from alcoholism twelve years ago and nicotine addiction six years ago, and moved from homelessness, depression, and bipolar to becoming a father, a husband, and the founder of a homestead built from raw land. He has navigated monogamous and ethically non-monogamous relationships with equal depth and lived for years across four major world cities.
Moritz is a mirror.
A deeply sensitive Human Design Reflector, one of the rarest types, he is designed to feel, sample, and reflect the energies of the people around him, showing them who they truly are and what quietly keeps them from their most brilliant expression. People often describe being seen by Moritz in a way they have rarely experienced before.
He will walk with you to the edges where you release what isn’t yours, so you return with the clarity of knowing what is essential about yourself.
Moritz has worked for over ten years as a mentor, coaching individuals, couples, and leaders through some of the most significant transitions of their lives.

Testimonials

on presence and clarity

"Moritz cuts through the noise to find clear signal. What stood out was his emotional intelligence, his breadth of insight, and a level of wisdom that felt rare for someone his age. Working with him brought a qualitative shift — not just in me, but in the whole field of my team. The same challenges, the same resources, but a whole new octave of capacity."

Cadence

I knew I was stuck, but I couldn't see where to start. Moritz helped me look directly at my own rigidity — the self-fulfilling prophecies I'd been living in without realizing it. Something shifted. I started taking more intentional space for myself, noticing when I disappear into service for others, and celebrating small wins more boldly. He's a calm, deep listener — gentle and firm at the same time — and he holds a lot of expansive emotional space. I'm very grateful for his generous work."

on permission and vision

"What I got from this work was permission — to let go of dysfunctional patterns, to hold the frame for something healthier, and to step into being the visionary leader of my own business life. Having someone hold the complexity of overlapping responsibilities — land, income, team, vision — while I found my own footing was deeply appreciated."

Self Abandonment

He helped me feel more ready to get to work on my own self-abandonment — and I left with the clarity to actually do it."

on safety and space

His presence in itself is healing. He holds exquisite space — the kind that allows for insights and unexpected shifts. I felt totally safe, and I often had big emotions because he made room for them. He validated my experience while challenging my beliefs with real compassion. I left with a larger perspective on my life than I thought was possible.

on pattern and change

"I came in with a repeating pattern in my relationships with men. I'd tried therapy, women's empowerment work, self-help — none of it fully moved it. Working with Moritz did. My relationships changed. The way I interact with my boyfriend changed. And he helped me stand up for myself in places I hadn't been able to before."

On urgency, inner knowing, and trusting your own pace

"I came in looking at my blocks to financial success — but Moritz saw past the surface and got to the root. What landed most deeply was realizing how conditioned I still am by urgency and the need to make things happen fast. He helped me see how often I override my own inner knowing by rushing to the next insight instead of letting clarity unfold. I left feeling more trusting of my own pace, my own process — and with the understanding that there is no 'right' way, only my way." — Anonymous
